Young actor verbally abused Pranav in social media post; Mohanlal took a decision after learning about it

With superstar Mohanlal confirming that he will no longer lead AMMA, the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists, the organisation is now heading toward an election to form a new executive committee. The elections are expected to be held after three months. Media reports suggest that the decision to elect a new leadership came after some dramatic developments. Although a section of actors urged Mohanlal to continue, he ultimately chose to step down.

Now, director Santhivila Dinesh has revealed one of the reasons behind Mohanlal's decision. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Dinesh claimed that Mohanlal took the decision to step down from AMMA leadership after a young actor, who is reportedly frequently involved in legal controversies, insulted his son, actor Pranav Mohanlal, through social media.

Santhivila Dinesh's words:
“There’s a young actor who seems to be the face of every controversy in Kerala these days. After just one or two films did decently well, he started claiming he’s the next superstar and began demanding Rs 10 crore per film. If a script requires a Rs 15 crore budget, this arrogant actor insists on acting only in Rs 30 crore films.

In one of his social media posts, he verbally abused Pranav Mohanlal — someone who lives quietly and without any complaints or grudges against anyone. After hearing about that post, Mohanlal decided he would no longer lead AMMA. Who even dares to speak against someone like Pranav, who doesn't trouble anyone and lives peacefully?

This actor, after just two successful films, started imagining himself as bigger than legends like Mammootty and Mohanlal. Now he's trying to backtrack by claiming his Facebook account was hacked — a claim that’s clearly untrue. He only brought up the hacking excuse after realising that his post insulting Pranav had reached Mohanlal. If the account was genuinely compromised, why didn’t he report it to the cyber cell? Regardless of how many posts he makes, it won’t have any impact on either Mohanlal or Pranav.
