KOCHI: Hotel owner Santosh, who rushed actor Kalabhavan Navas to the hospital on Friday night, recalled how the actor’s hands were shaking even during the final moments. Santosh never thought Navas would be declared dead upon reaching the hospital and is still in shock over the incident.
Navas was found unconscious in a hotel room in Chottanikkara at around 8.45 pm last night. Despite rushing him to Tata Hospital, his life could not be saved. Initial reports suggest that the death was due to a sudden heart attack. Navas was in Chottanikkara as part of the shooting of the film 'Prakambanam'.
Hotel owner Santosh:
“Navas occupied room number 209. All other stars and technicians of the film had vacated their rooms, and only Navas was left out. The room boy was instructed to check on the actor at the request of the production controller. The actor was found lying on the floor when the room boy entered the room, as the door was not locked. The production controller was informed of the incident.
He was taken to the hospital by the film crew and the hotel staff. Inside the vehicle, Navas was alive, and his hands were shaking.”
Police registered a case of unnatural death in the incident.
