NEW DELHI: Minta Devi of Bihar has filed a complaint against the use of her picture on a T-shirt by MPs including Priyanka Gandhi in a protest against irregularities in the voters list. She said that her age was wrongly written as 124 due to a mistake in her voter ID card. She responded that her picture was used without asking her.
Several opposition MPs wore T-shirts with 'Minta Devi' and her picture emblazoned on them and '124 Not Out' written at the back during a protest in the Parliament House complex against the Election Commission's voter roll revision in Bihar. 35-year-old Minta Devi from Siwan district of Bihar, came forward against this.
It was only when the news came that she found out that there was a mistake in the voter ID. It was not right on the side Priyanka Gandhi using her picture without asking her. She said that she was insulted and that her privacy was violated. Following this, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju demanded an apology from the Congress.
