AMMA election to take place today

KOCHI: The election for the governing committee of the film organisation AMMA will be held today. Voting will take place at the Marriott Hotel in Edappally from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A special feature this time is that members are contesting individually, without panels. Shwetha Menon is contesting for the post of President, and Kukku Parameswaran for General Secretary. If they win, women will take up two key positions in AMMA. Their opponents are Devan for President and Raveendran for General Secretary.

Ansiba Hassan has already been elected unopposed as Joint Secretary. The election is being held for the posts of President, Vice President, General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Committee members.
