'Told her to ignore gossip with Kavya, she was sad'; Dileep's interview about Manju Warrier

Manju Warrier and Dileep, the former couple of Mollywood, separated in 2014. Even long before their split, rumours surfaced about a rift between them. Gossip in the media dragged actress Kavya Madhavan into the issue, as many rumoured her to have caused a rupture in the marital relationship of Dileep and Manju. However, Dileep had denied all these allegations even before his separation from Manju. Now, an old interview with Dileep is going viral on social media.

Dileep:

"Manju must have felt sad when people started creating gossip about me and Kavya Madhavan. Apart from being my wife, Manju is also my closest friend. I used to tell her not to bother with the gossip. People used to criticise me for being possessive. I thus decided to change my attitude and asked Manju to attend dance classes and whatever she wished for.

Manju came into the film industry right after her school days. I was not a perfect partner as I couldn’t fulfil many of her needs due to my busy schedule. If Manju suddenly feels like getting back into movies, I will be the first one to support her.”
