Missing woman found dead in Karamana River near Aruvippuram

MALAYINKEEZHU: The dead body of K S Shaji (54), who was missing since Tuesday afternoon, was found in the Karamana River near Aruvippuram on Wednesday. During an investigation conducted by the Vilappilsala police focusing on the mobile phone, the wallet, mobile phone and the shoes of Shaji were found on the banks of the Karamana River near the Aruvippuram bathing ghat roundabout. Shaji is a native of Peyad near the Chilapara KSEB office.

The Kattakada Fire Force and the scuba team, in their search, found her trapped among the bamboo in the river. Her body was handed over to her relatives after a postmortem at the Medical College Hospital and was cremated at the Maranallur public crematorium. Shaji was reportedly in mental distress after her husband's death. Mother: Komalavalli Amma. Sisters: Raji, Aji.
