Attacked family of young woman who rejected marriage proposal, threatened women; three people arrested

PALAKKAD: Three people have been arrested in a case where the family of a young woman was attacked after she rejected a marriage proposal. The attack targeted the woman’s house and vehicles at Pavukkonam in Ananganadi. The arrested men are Muhammed Fazil (20), Muhammed Sadiq (20), and Muhammed Fawas (21), all natives of Attassheri, Thrikkadeeri.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. on Thursday. Soon after the attack, a relative of the young woman filed a complaint with the police. The accused, who were armed, attacked the houses of the woman's relatives and threatened the family members, including women. They also smashed the windows of a car parked in the yard.
