Five-year-old boy dies after being electrocuted from decorative light in Kannur

KANNUR: A five-year-old boy died after being electrocuted while playing. The dead is C Muhiuddin, son of Usman Majani and Ayesha of Mattannur in Kannur. The tragic incident happened last evening at home at around 6:30 pm. He was electrocuted from the wire of a decorative light installed on the grill in the verandah. It is believed that the boy was electrocuted while climbing the grill. After being given first aid at a private hospital in Mattannur, the boy succumbed to his injuries while being taken to the Koothuparamba Government Hospital.
