ALAPPUZHA: A 27-year-old woman arrested in the case of a 17-year-old student missing has been remanded. The Cherthala Judicial First Class Magistrate Court has remanded Sanusha, a mother of two children and a native of Pallipuram.

Sanusha was arrested by Cherthala police from Kollur on a complaint filed by the student's family. She had left her home with the student, along with her two children, 12 days ago. The student's relatives had filed a complaint with Kuthiathodu police stating that he was missing, and Sanusha's relatives had filed a complaint with Cherthala police stating that she was missing. They had travelled without using their phones. The police reached Bengaluru after receiving a hint, but could not find them.

The police caught the woman after she turned on her phone and sent a message to her relative on WhatsApp. The police brought the children, Sanusha and the student back home and left the student with her relatives. Sanusha was produced in court after handing over her children to her husband.
