Renowned journalist Shyam G Menon passes away

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Renowned journalist Shyam G Menon (56) passed away on Monday. He was a native of Gowreesapattom. Shyam is the son of late writer Vimala Menon and UG Menon. The body will be kept for public viewing at 9.30 am today at the residence of Shyam's uncle, Professor R.V.G. Menon’s Mudavanmukal, Keshavdev Road residence (Haritha K.R.R. 22).

The funeral will be held at 10.30 am at Santikavadam. Sister: Yamuna Menon.

After his stint at PTI news agency, The Hindu Business Line newspaper and Outlook Business magazine, Shyam was now working as a freelance journalist. He was an avid debater, trekker and cyclist.
