Accident during Onam celebrations: Man falls from pirate ship ride in Kochi

KOCHI: A youth was seriously injured after falling from a pirate ship ride at an amusement park in Atham Nagar. The accident that occurred at Boys High School ground near Atham Nagar injured Vishnu (34), a native of Thrippunithura. Those who were behind Vishnu said that he fell when the ride was swinging too fast. The youth was immediately taken to the taluk hospital and then to a private hospital in Vyttila.

Those who were with Vishnu said that the pirate ship ride was not very safe. However, the amusement park operators said that the man fell when he stood up during the ride.
