Three people including siblings injured after being stabbed by inebriated gang in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three people sustained injuries after being attacked by an inebriated gang at Panangottukonam near Powdikonam in Sreekaryam. The incident took place at around 11 pm on Sunday. Panangottukonam natives Rajesh, his brother Ratheesh and their relative Ranjith were stabbed by the inebriated gang.

The attack was carried out by their neighbour, Sanjay and his gang. The attack took place in front of the women of Rajesh's house. According to witnesses, Sanjay and his friends shouted expletives at each other in front of Rajesh's house. Following this, Rajesh, Ratheesh and Ranjith questioned them, which led to a dispute.

Following the verbal dispute, Sanjay and the gang attacked the three with a knife. Rajesh was stabbed on the arm, while Ratheesh was stabbed on the back and Ranjith on the leg. The Sreekaryam police have launched a probe into the incident. The injured people have been admitted to the hospital. Police have intensified the search to find Sanjay, who went into hiding following the incident.
