‘Love fades, did not get the life expected’, youth held for wife’s suicide

PALAKKAD: A youth identified as Anoop (36), husband of Meera of Poochira in Puthuppariyaram, who died by suicide, has been arrested. Anoop was arrested on charges of abetment to suicide.

Meera was found hanging at her husband's house last Wednesday morning. Her suicide note was also recovered. Her note said that Anoop's love for her and her child had faded and that she did not get the life she expected.

After a quarrel with her husband, Meera had reached her house in Mattumantha Cholod on Tuesday. Anoop came and took her back at around 11 pm. Meera's family alleged that then they heard about her death and a fight between the two may have led to her death.

This is the second marriage of the two. Meera married Anoop a year ago after her first marriage ended in a divorce. Her relatives said that there had been constant issues between the two after marriage.
