'Aavesham fight'; Clash erupts between Malayali students during Onam in Bengaluru private college, video goes viral

BENGALURU: A clash was reported between Malayali students of a private college near Avalahalli in Bengaluru. As per reports, tensions brewed between juniors and seniors of the college during the Onam celebrations. Both groups decided to settle the matter on the street on Wednesday, which ended in a melee.

The video of the altercation between the Malayali students is going viral on social media. The college authorities decided not to register a complaint with the police, considering the future of the students. As per reports on various news outlets, the matter was resolved internally by the college administration.

Netizens responded to the video with a tinge of humour by pointing out the uncanny resemblance the fight had to the one shown in the movie Aavesham.

Bengaluru is home to a large diaspora of the Malayali community and students. In previous years, too, there were reports of mild clashes during Onam celebrations at colleges in the city.
