THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The capital city will witness traffic restrictions on Monday owing to the iconic Navratri procession. The road from Pallichal to Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple will be regulated in a way that allows smooth passage of the revered procession. The procession will reach Pallichal at 11 am. From here, it will reach Karamana at 2 pm and Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple at 6.30 pm.
Traffic restrictions have been imposed in these areas, fearing congestion on the road from Pallichal to Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple during the Navratri procession. Large vehicles will not be allowed to park on roadsides. Vehicles found breaching the rule will be towed away.
Large vehicles, goods vehicles, and lighter ones going to the airport should take the bypass route, avoiding the Pallichal Pravachambalam Karamana route through which the procession passes. When the procession reaches the Karamana Bhagavathi Amman temple, vehicles heading towards the Killipalam road will be diverted. Vehicles from the Karamana, going to Thampanoor, should take the Kunjalumoodu-Poojappura-Jagathy-Thycaud route. Vehicles going to Karamana from Thampanoor can proceed without any hindrance.
