Children looking for football in bushes find human skeleton

KOTTAYAM: Children who went to retrieve a football that had fallen into the bushes found a human skeleton. The incident took place near the Arpookara Government High School grounds. The coach and Gandhinagar station were then informed. A police team led by SHO T. Sreejith and forensic experts reached the spot and collected the skeleton.

A skull, rib and femur bones were found. They are believed to be three to six months old. A double mundu, blue rubber sandals and half a bottle of water were found nearby. The inquest proceedings have been completed and the body has been shifted to the Kottayam Medical College Hospital morgue. It will be sent for forensic examination today.
