‘Unexpected break survived by prayers and presence of mind of people,’ megastar Mammootty reaches location

After a seven-month pause, megastar Mammootty is back in front of the camera. The actor reached the location of the film 'Patriot' directed by Mahesh Narayanan Wednesday morning. The shooting is at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. He came with producer and close friend Anto Joseph.

'The unexpected break was survived by the prayers and presence of mind of people all over the world. Heartfelt gratitude and love to those who joined in the prayers and helped when in trouble,’ the actor told media. The actor had yesterday shared a note on social media about the joy of being active in films again.

The actor before leaving to Hyderabad from Chennai wrote, ‘The camera is calling. Back to doing what I love most in life after a short break. Words aren’t enough to thank everyone who checked on me during my absence.’ He also shared a picture of himself leaning against his car. He had been resting at his residence in Chennai for months.

'Patriot' is being produced by Anto Joseph himself. Patriot also has the distinction of being a film in which Mammootty and Mohanlal come together after 17 years. This is a big budget film that also stars Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, and Nayanthara.
