Bike hits 953 number pole of Kochi metro: Tragic end for Forum Mall employee Suraj and KFC shift manager Shwetha

KOCHI: A man and a woman died when their bike hit a Kochi Metro pole. The deceased have been identified as KS Suraj (24), son of Suresh, a native of Muttar, Alappuzha, and Shwetha Ashok (25), daughter of Ashokkumar, a native of Pazhuvil, Thrissur.

The accident took place on the Vyttila-Petta road at around 12.45 am on Friday. The two were going to Shwetha's flat in Kakkanad from Forum Mall. The bike hit Metro pole number 953 near Champakkara Market. Both of them were seriously injured after falling onto the road and were taken to a private hospital in Vyttila, but could not be saved. The bike broke down in the accident.

Suraj is an employee of Forum Mall. Mother: Sindhu. Sister: Surya. The funeral will be held at 5 pm on Sunday in the house compound.

Shwetha is a shift manager at KFC, Ernakulam. Mother: Mini (Teacher, S.N. Vidyabhavan, Chenthrapini. Sister: Swathi. Funeral on Sunday at 10 am.
