Karate teacher sentenced to 20 years for sexually abusing plus two girl

CHENNAI: A karate teacher has been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually abusing a 12th class girl. Chennai sessions judge S Padma awarded the sentence to B Jayasudha (28) of Tuticorin.

Jayasudha, who was a teacher in Chennai, met the girl in last July at a school sports meet. She later shifted to a house near the school. She then took the girl to her house and abused her sexually on the pretext of marriage. She abused her saying that she will undergo gender transition surgery and after becoming a male will marry her.

The information about the abuse came to light in an investigation conducted after her parents got a message from the school informing about her absence. The teacher had confessed to have abused her at her house near the school and in Tuticorin. Then a POCSO case was registered against her.
