THIRUVALLA: Minister KB Ganesh Kumar said that the driving school started by KSRTC is progressing profitably. A profit of Rs. 2.5 crore has been earned through the KSRTC driving school in the last ten months. The minister said that more driving schools will be started based on this. The minister was speaking at a state-level seminar on the development goals of the transport department, organised at the Thiruvalla Believers Convention Centre. Ganesh Kumar also said that driving training focusing on lane discipline will be implemented once the six-lane National Highway is fully operational in the state.

"The ticket revenue received by KSRTC on August 8, 2025 was Rs. 10.19 crore. This is an all-time record. Currently, the daily revenue from a bus is Rs. 17,000. Technology has been implemented efficiently in KSRTC. Chalo app, travel card and online concession for students have been introduced," the minister added.

Ganesh Kumar said that the functioning of KSRTC will be made more efficient using artificial intelligence. "KSRTC will revise the schedule with the help of artificial intelligence. There are often situations where buses run on the same route at the same time. This will be solved using new software using artificial intelligence," the Transport Minister said.
