Arrest not imminent; SIT to release Ananthasubramaniam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The special team will question and release Ananthasubrahmanyam, the friend of sponsor Unnikrishnan Potty, who was taken into custody in connection with the Sabarimala gold theft. It is reported that no arrest will be made now. It is reported that some middlemen were also questioned in addition to Ananthasubrahmanyam.

Ananthasubrahmanyam was questioned with Unnikrishnan Potty by his side. The interrogation took place at the Crime Branch headquarters. The Mahazar says that the plates removed from Sabarimala were actually received by Unnikrishnan Potty's friend Ananthasubramaniam. The signature against Unnikrishnan Potty's name is also by Ananthasubramaniam. Moreover, according to the Mahazar dated July 20, 2019, the plates received were actually received by Unnikrishnan Potty's friend R Ramesh, a Kannadiga. The signature against the name Unnikrishnan Potty is R Ramesh. This is proof that Unnikrishnan Potty was not in Sabarimala on these two days.
