Tyre of copter carrying President gets stuck in concrete; police and fire force had to push

PATHANAMTHITTA: The tyre of the helicopter carrying President Droupadi Murmu got stuck in the concrete after it landed in Pramadam. The police and fire force personnel had to manually push the helicopter out of the concrete. The helicopter landed at the Pramadam Indore Stadium.

A decision was taken earlier to land the copter at Nilakkal. However, the decision was changed due to the adverse weather conditions and decided to land at Pramadam. Work for the copter to land at Pramadam was completed this morning. So, the freshly laid concrete didn’t get firm. There was a serious security lapse.

She landed at Pramadam at 9.05 am and left for Pampa. She will reach Sannidhanam at 11.50 am. Minister V N Vasavan and office-bearers of the devaswom board will officially receive her by giving her Poornakumbham in front of the holy steps. She will then climb the 18 steps. She will later rest at the Devaswom Guest House.
