Shalini Ambujakshan died due to overdosing: Family against Kottayam Medical College

KOTTAYAM: Complaint that a housewife has died due to medical malpractice in the Kottayam Medical College Hospital's gynaecology department. Ambujakshan's wife Shalini Ambujakshan (49) is the patient who died. Shalini had come with her daughter for a uterine examination at 6 am on Monday. Although the pill was inserted into her uterus, it was repeated after it broke. After 15 minutes, Shalini experienced heartburn, stomach pain, itching and physical discomfort and then fell unconscious. After informing the nurse and doctor, Shalini was shifted to the critical ICU. Later, at 2 am, the relatives were informed of her death.

Relatives say that she had no other health problems and that the cause of death was an overdose of medicine. A complaint was filed with the hospital superintendent and the Gandhinagar police in this regard. The hospital authorities explained that the cause of death was a heart attack. The funeral was held in the house compound.
