Accident in Karnataka; Baby of Malayali family under treatment dies, toll rises to three

KALPETTA: The toll in the accident at Begur in Karnataka after a car carrying a Malayali family collided with a taurus lorry, rose to three. A one-and-a half-year-old baby identified as Haizam Hanan, son of Muhammed Shafi (32) undergoing treatment, lost his life today.

The accident happened last Saturday at 10 am. Abdul Basheer (53) of Wayanad Kambalakkad Madakimala Karincheri and his nephew’s wife Jafeera (28), the passengers of the car had died on the day the accident happened. Basheer’s wife Naseema (45) and Muhammed Shafi are undergoing treatment. The family landed at the Bengaluru Airport after vacationing in Thailand and the accident happened while they were returning home.
