NEW DELHI: A lady advocate has opened up about the incident in which a delivery agent was injured while he was on the way to deliver the food she ordered online. Ayushi Doshi shared the post on X as a harsh reality of life. Ayushi ordered a burger from McDonald's through Zomato. The advocate says in the post that she called the delivery agent, Arun Kumar, several times when the order was delayed.

The woman then called the company's customer care and found out that Rohit Kumar, who was supposed to deliver the food, had met with an accident, and the parcel had been taken. The woman said that the incident had made her think.

'I don’t know why but that hit me really hard. Here I was, angry over a late burger, while someone out there was actually hurt. We often forget, behind every delivery notification, there’s a human just trying to earn a living," Ayushi wrote.

Ayushi also shared a screenshot of the conversation she had with customer care. The company apologised for the order cancellation and announced that she would get a full refund of Rs 463.
The incident highlighted the difficulties faced by delivery agents and became a big topic of discussion on social media. Many came forward to share similar experiences.
