Bear attacks elderly man in Malappuram

MALAPPURAM: An elderly Adivasi man was attacked by a bear in Malappuram. Sankaran, a native of Mundakkadavu hamlet in Karulai, was on his way to collect herbs in the forest when the bear suddenly attacked him. The animal mauled both his hands, leaving him with serious injuries. Sankaran, who sustained severe injuries on his hands, has been admitted to the Nilambur District Hospital.
