Lokah is a conventional film; 10 films are waiting for Dileep, but there is only one reason why it's not happening: Director reveals

Vyasan KP, alias Vyasan Edavanakkad, is the person who directed the film Subharathri starring Dileep. He has also directed other films. Vyasan was the scriptwriter for Dileep's film Avatharam, directed by Joshi. He is still active in the film industry.

Vyasan KP recently spoke about the changes that have taken place in the actor's career. Vyasan says that the fact that Dileep's lack of films at one point was not because there was no one to make films with him. He adds that Dileep distanced himself from the industry following the court case. The director was talking to a YouTube channel.

"I never made Subharathri as a conventional Dileep film. It was not a film that the audience expected from Dileep. I wanted to give something different. In the film Avatharam that I did and in Subharathri, I tried to show a Dileep that has never been seen before."

"It is a lie to say that people are hesitant to do a film with Dileep; there is no such thing. No one was hesitant, but Dileep himself decided to stay away from films as part of the court case. Dileep has stood aside many times, and many people were still calling him. Even now, there are ten scripts waiting for Dileep. Dileep himself is putting them aside, saying let the case be over."

He also praised Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, which stars Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead role. 'What is the biggest hit film in Malayalam right now? It is Lokah. It is a film that has broken collection records. Lokah is a conventional film. The heroine was the main character in the horror film Indriyam, which had come earlier, and the heroine is the main character in Lokah too. Such a film has achieved great success when there are so many big superstars. An artist is just a tool. They gave a film that today's audience wants to see. It became the biggest success in Malayalam, and that too without any superstars. There is only one criterion: it has to be a good film. If it is like that, it will become a hit."
