Dharmendra discharged from hospital, to be treated at home

MUMBAI: Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra (89), who was undergoing treatment at the Breach Candy Hospital, has been discharged. The actor was admitted to the hospital following breathlessness on October 31. The actor was discharged from the hospital Wednesday morning.

Dr Prof Pratit Samdani, who was treating the actor at the hospital, said his treatment would continue at home. He was discharged from the hospital around 7.30 am. He will be treated at home as the family has decided to give him treatment at home.

The actor’s family also released a statement on his discharge. The statement has asked to respect the family’s privacy at this time and to avoid speculations.

A national media had yesterday reported the news of his death. Later the actor’s wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol had denied the news. His family later said that he is recovering.
