NEW DELHI: Another blast has been heard in the national capital. A loud bang was heard near the Radisson Hotel in Mahipalpur Thursday morning. According to Delhi Fire Service officials, they received a call at 9.18 am. Three units of officers were immediately sent to the spot. Fire service officials said that a woman called and said that she heard a loud bang while travelling to Gurugram.
Delhi Police, Bomb Squad and Fire Force teams jointly conducted a thorough search of the area. However, nothing suspicious was found in the hotel premises. Initial investigation revealed that the loud sound was caused by tyre burst of a DTC bus going to Dhaula Kuan. Officials said there is no need to panic and the area is safe.
A massive search operation is underway in several parts of Delhi following a car blast near the Red Fort on Monday evening. Twelve people were killed and several others were injured in the Red Fort blast.
