IAF begins investigation into Tejas crash; Mortal remains of martyred pilot to be brought home today

DUBAI: The Indian Air Force launched an investigation into the horrific accident that led to the death of Wing Commander Namansh Syal after the Tejas aircraft he was flying crashed during an air show in Dubai. As part of this, the Air Force contacted Dubai authorities. Efforts are underway to recover the aircraft's black box. The possibility of sabotage will also be examined. It is also reported that Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about this.

Meanwhile, the body of Namansh Syal will be brought to Delhi today. He is a native of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. Rajnath Singh and Joint Chiefs of Staff Anil Chauhan expressed their condolences. Rajnath Singh shared the grief with the pilot’s family. Defence Ministry sources also stated that investigations are ongoing to determine whether sabotage was involved in the accident.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, expressed his condolences to the Indian Air Force and the family of Wing Commander Namansh Syal, who died in the Tejas disaster. He expressed deep sorrow and also extended support to the Indian Air Force. The organisers of the Dubai Airshow also expressed their condolences.
