Candidate who reached home after election campaign collapses and dies

MALAPPURAM: A candidate, who reached home after election campaign collapsed and died. The dead has been identified as Haseena (49), UDF candidate, seventh ward of payimpadam Moothedam panchayat. She was a candidate of the Muslim League. She was a teacher of Anganawadi in Payimpadam.

She had actively participated in the election campaign and in house meetings the other day. She reached home by 11.15 pm, developed a chest pain and collapsed. Though she was rushed to a private hospital in Edakkara, her life could not be saved. Abdurahiman is her husband.
