THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actress Veena Nair has reacted to the court verdict acquitting Dileep in the actress assault case. Veena Nair, who said she is also with the victim, asked in her Facebook post that while those who did wrong are punished, shouldn't those who did not do wrong get justice?

"Today is not a day of victory but a day of peace. A day when a man breathes in peace. A day when those who prayed can smile. Not because he is an actor, not because he is famous, but as a human being, I am happy that his truth has been heard. Because he is also a victim."

"He heard bad words, media trials, and accusations. Even in the darkness of his life, he smiled. He protected his family and friends. He made us happy by making films again. He survived when failures happened again and again and everyone wrote that his career was over. He respected and believed in the law with the utmost respect. That was a great act of courage. It was also a declaration that he had done nothing wrong. Today, when the court is convinced of that, I believe in the process and justice. Because when the truth emerges, no darkness can hold it back," said Veena Nair.
