ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Asim Munir warned India not to come out of their delusion. He clarified that nobody will be permitted to test the supreme power of Pakistan, and warned of a more lethal response if anyone dares to attack again. Besides, Munir added that Pakistan is a country of peace.
Asim Munir was talking at the function after being appointed as the first CDF of the country. He also said that all three forces have to improve their operations more under a unified system in the background of accelerating threats. The Chief Air Staff (CAS) of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshall Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and senior officials from the three forces attended the function.
Munir appreciated the valiance of the Pakistan army during Operation Sindoor. He said the show of might was a ‘case study’ for future battles. Besides being the CDF, Munir is in charge of supervising the National Strategic Command, which is handling the nuclear weapons and missile systems of Pakistan.
Munir will be provided positions, special rights and defence from prosecution for life-time as he became the supreme commander of the army, navy and air forces. Munir, the former head of the spy organisation ISI, became the army chief in 2022. The bill to appoint Asim Munir as the CDF was passed last month in the parliament.
