Setback for Rahul Easwar again; will remain in custody until Monday, bail plea postponed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rahul Easwar, arrested for insulting the woman who complained of sexual abuse against Rahul Mamkoottathil MLA on social media, will remain in judicial custody until Monday. Rahul was produced in the ACJM court after his custody period ended. Soon after this he was shifted to custody again. Rahul was sent to judicial custody as the report was not submitted by the police. He has been taken to Poojappura Central Prison. His bail plea will be considered on Monday.
Although Rahul was taken into custody earlier, he was not cooperating with the investigation. He was admitted to the hospital after he was on hunger strike. The investigating team later took him into custody. Meantime, Rahul told the media today that he was cooperating with the investigation and was praying for bail. He responded when brought for medical examination.
Rahul Easwar had submitted a bail plea the next day of his arrest. However, the court rejected his bail plea and remanded him. With this, Rahul went to prison by announcing that he would be fasting in the jail. He claimed that he was fighting for men.
