THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan responded to the controversies raised against him. He also asked whether social justice was implemented when the Muslim League was in power. Vellappally Natesan also said that for the last 30 years, the SNDP's figures and cases have been handled by Muslims. He clarified these things while talking to the media this morning.
"Was social justice implemented when the Muslim League was in power? I challenge the Muslim League to introspect. They are trying to make me a religious hater without trying to understand the shortcomings I am talking about. Many of those with me belong to the Muslim community. Rahim Associates has been looking after the SNDP's accounts for the last 30 years. All our cases are being handled by a Muslim.
"There is a vile attempt to spread religious hatred. They are trying to turn Muslims against Ezhavas. They are doing activities that spread communal hatred. The League is working with malice. Where was CPI criticism for me getting into the Chief Minister's vehicle? Why are they doing that? What I am saying is issue-based. Just check how many seats the CPI got in the three-tier panchayats. Let them study the reason for that for themselves. Why are they rejecting me without understanding that?
"The CPI's stance has created a sense of disunity in the front. The CPI should discuss right and wrong within the front. Let the one who ate salt drink water in the Sabarimala gold robbery. I am completely satisfied with the current investigation. I had said earlier that the arrested Padmakumar is not a good person.
"I am 89 years old. I must say that I am a grandfather in the media field. Because I have been working in the media field for many years. The media came to ask me questions in Sivagiri. I asked if they wanted to do it there. After that, some people asked only small questions. At that time, a person from a news channel came up to me and asked me about the things in Malappuram. That news channel has been hunting me for years. They are hungry for my blood. They are mocking many news channels to get to the top of the ratings. They are trying to distort many things that I say to create religious hatred," said Vellappally Natesan.
