'Beloved mother who made me who I am'; Mohanlal's first social media post after mother's death

Actor Mohanlal wrote a farewell note on his social media following the demise of his mother, Santhakumari. This is Mohanlal’s first reaction after the death of his mother, who passed away at the actor’s Kochi residence two days back.

Mohanlal:

“My beloved mother, who made me who I am and who was always a source of strength in my life journey with her love, affection and closeness, attained salvation by reaching Lord Vishnu's feet (divine abode) after death.

Following the passing of my mother, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all my loved ones who have directly or indirectly shared my grief. Thank you once again, love and prayers to all those who have expressed their condolences at home, by phone and through social media.”

Mohanlal's mother, Santhakumari (90), passed away on Tuesday afternoon. She had been undergoing treatment for age-related ailments for a long time. She was undergoing treatment at Amrita Hospital. Santhakumari, a native of Pathanamthitta, shifted to Thiruvananthapuram after her husband became a secretariat officer and lived in the city for 39 years. She moved to Mohanlal's house in Elamakkara after her husband’s death.
