NEW DELHI: Music director AR Rahman made a clarification on his earlier statement after it ignited a controversy. Rahman had talked about his dwindling opportunities in Bollywood. In a video shared on social media, Rahman said that he did not intend to hurt anyone and said India was his inspiration and guru. Rahman said that his statement may have been misinterpreted.
A few days back, Rahman said in an interview that political changes and maybe his religious choices have reduced opportunities in Hindi. Rahman had also alleged that the Hindi film "Chhava" was aimed at dividing people. Many people, including celebrities, have come out to criticise Rahman's remarks.
