NEW DELHI: Vande Bharat Express revolutionised the Indian Rail system like never before. Luxury in train travel was a novel experience, hitherto unheard of for Indian passengers. After the massive success of Vande Bharat trains, Vande Bharat sleeper trains started operating on January 17. The train, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ran from Malda Town to Howrah Junction.
Many passengers who travelled on the debut run of the train compared the facilities available on the Sleeper trains to those of business class flights. However, amidst this praise, netizens were triggered when a video surfaced on social media showing empty cups and garbage scattered inside the newly inaugurated compartment, despite a dustbin installed inside.
The vlogger shared the video on social media with the caption, "Can't you see this? Tell me, whose fault is this? Is it the government's? Or ours? Look at the civic sense of the people. This is a newly launched train. This happened on the first day. Why is this happening?" the vlogger asked in the video.’
After the video went viral, many came with responses saying that the “Indians started doing what they do best”. The fact that the passengers deliberately avoided using the dustbins to litter the compartment irked netizens.
