KANNUR: V Kunhikrishnan is still sticking to his allegations even after being expelled from the CPM after raising the allegation in the Payyannur Martyrs Fund scam. Kunhikrishnan said that the party has lost money, including in the collection of the Martyrs Fund.

"There was a delay in presenting the fund figures to the party. The figures were presented after three years. By then, some leaders had added new expenses. The figures presented were figures that would make the Payyannur area committee members fools. The fund collection figures were presented to the area committee just before the 2021 party conference. When the building construction figures were presented, the money collected from the cooperative employees was missing. It was raised in the committee. The figures could have been presented in the 2021 conference itself after correcting the errors. However, the figures were presented only at the 2024 party conference. The figures could not be presented because there were no 70 lakhs in hand," Kunhikrishnan alleged.

"The money that came from two cooperative banks was not deposited in the party's account. The then area secretary, T.I. Madhusoodanan, should explain what was not deposited. There is nothing new in what CPM district secretary K.K. Ragesh said about me and fund collection. I laughed when I heard some of the things," Kunhikrishnan clarified.
