NEW DELHI: Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi refrained from commenting on the Modi government's third budget. He indicated that he would formulate his response after studying the budget documents and intended to address the issue in Parliament on Monday, rather than on the day of its presentation. Rahul made this statement to media personnel waiting outside Parliament, accompanied by his sister and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi, who also did not respond to media inquiries. Congress MP Jairam Ramesh criticized the budget as "non-transparent," stating that it provided no clarity regarding budgetary allocations for key programs and schemes.
The third budget presentation of the Modi government concluded a few hours ago. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented it in the Lok Sabha. During her speech, she announced that India has achieved significant economic growth and stability. She also emphasized that poverty has been eradicated in the country.

Kerala received none of the allocations it anticipated in the budget, including the AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences). Additionally, the state was notably absent from the announcement regarding the seven high-speed railway corridors. While several South Indian cities, such as Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, were included in this plan, cities in Kerala were overlooked.
