Friendship turned into hatred after marriage; Muhammed Shafiq takes out anger by circulating nude footage of lady lawyer

PALAKKAD: Lady lawyer's friend arrested for filming and circulating her nude footage. Town South police arrested Muhammed Shafiq, a lawyer's clerk and a native of Pirayiri, Palakkad. Muhammed sent the footage to the woman's relatives and friends via WhatsApp.

The incident related to the case took place in the first week of January. The lady lawyer and her clerk, Muhammed Shafiq, were friends. It was during this time that the clerk filmed the nude scenes without the woman's knowledge. The friendship between the two broke down after the woman's marriage.

After this, Shafiq sent the pictures to the lawyer's relatives through WhatsApp. The Palakkad Town South police, acting on the woman's complaint, arrested 24-year-old Shafiq. A case was registered under the IT Act. Shafiq was produced in court after a medical examination and remanded. The police said that the accused circulated the scenes out of anger over the lawyer withdrawing from their friendship.
