KANNUR: Former district committee member V Kunhikrishnan, the whistle-blower who was expelled from the CPM, released his book in a crowd-filled event in Kannur on Wednesday. The book is titled ‘Nethruthvathe Annikal Thiruthenem’ (Comrades should rectify the wrongs of Leadership).

Joseph C Mathew released the book in the presence of a large crowd in Kannur today. The book has 16 chapters and 96 pages. The High Court had allowed police protection for the book release ceremony.

In his welcome speech, Kunhikrishnan said that false propaganda was spread on social media that the book release ceremony was postponed. Kunhikrishnan also said that he faced cyber abuse for bringing to light the money embezzlement in the martyr fund. He said that the messages received from naysayers and critics cannot be revealed to the public because they are too profane. Kunhikrishnan also opened up on an existing trend in CPM to implement Goebbels' tactics in the new era.

Kunhikrishnan’s new book severely criticises the CPM leadership. The book says that the CPM leaders have become the implementers of crony capitalism. The leadership shamelessly uses organisational principles to protect the arsonists. The book also says that Payyannur MLA T.I. Madhusudhan has the style of a bourgeois political leader.

The financial irregularities in the Payyannur Area Committee are also brought to light in detail. The book reveals irregularities in the funds collected for the family of martyr Dhanraj. Kunhikrishnan reveals in the book the figures of the funds collected in three categories - family assistance, house construction and case management - based on documents presented by the party itself.
