Female attendant sustains injuries after oxygen cylinder’s flow meter explodes in Thiruvananthapuram MCH

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An accident occurred at the medical college after the pressure gauge in the flow meter of oxygen cylinder exploded. The accident happened Friday morning at around 2 in the casualty. The explosion occurred while the oxygen cylinder was being replaced. A female attendant identified as Farisha Beevi (50), sustained injuries in the incident. She suffered injuries on her forehead.

Initial reports say Farisha's injuries are minor. She has been shifted to the ICU of the medical college hospital. This is the second time such an accident has happened. An anesthesia technician from Palakkad was seriously injured after an oxygen cylinder in Theater B exploded. The authorities are investigating the cause of the second flow meter explosion.
