NEW DELHI: A 22-year-old man died after suffering a brain haemorrhage, reportedly triggered by stress while playing an online game. The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Kaif, a native of Khair Nagar in Meerut. Preliminary information suggests that a ruptured blood vessel in the brain led to severe bleeding, causing his death.
Kaif, who assisted his father in business, was playing an online game at his office when he suddenly collapsed. He was immediately taken to a nearby nursing home and later shifted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi for advanced treatment. He died while undergoing treatment.
Reports say Kaif had a history of high blood pressure, which was being managed with medication. His family said he spent long hours on his mobile phone and often created reels for social media accounts. They had advised him to reduce his mobile phone usage, but he reportedly ignored their concerns.
In a separate incident last week, three minor sisters in Ghaziabad died by suicide after their parents objected to their mobile phone usage. Reports said the sisters were playing task-based Korean online games. Their reported obsession with Korean culture is believed to have contributed to the tragedy.
