Case of sexually abusing 16-year-old girl in lodge: Former cop Philip Mampad arrested

MALAPPURAM: The Nilambur police have taken social media influencer and former police officer Philip Mampad into custody on the complaint of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl in a lodge. He abused the girl of Chevayur in Kozhikode. The accused, also a motivational speaker, was taken into custody from his house last night.

The incident happened in September last year. The complaint said that he sexually abused her in Nilambur police station limits and in the Kanhangad area of Kasaragod. The girl initially filed a complaint at the Chevayur station. The case was later shifted to Nilambur.

Philip Mampad having many fans on social media, is known as an influencer who provides counseling and training to teenagers. Presently, a case has been filed against him under POCSO. His arrest will be recorded soon.
