KOCHI: More details emerged in the death of a schoolgirl in Ernakulam. Aditya (16), the only daughter of Mahesh, from Mamala-Kakkad, was found dead near a quarry in suspicious circumstances. The details of the Instagram account she was following have now surfaced.

Aditya had followed an account named 'Black Venom' that mostly had images of Korean stars on its feed. Earlier, more than thirty people followed the account. However, police say that the number of followers decreased significantly after the girl's death.

Police regard the account as mysterious. Police said that a student from Aditya's school brought the phone, and there is evidence that other children have opened more than one account from the same phone. This phone was sent for forensic examination. Police found that eight Instagram accounts were opened in it. The police have also received their login details.

Aditya's suicide note stated that she was under depression over the death of a Korean band member whom she had met through Instagram. However, the school teacher denied Aditya being friends with any such figure on Instagram.

Aditya, who had left home on January 27 in the morning, in the pretext of going to school, was found dead at around 9 am in a quarry near her house. The body was found during a search conducted by a relative, an auto driver, who saw the child's school bag lying near the quarry.
