NEW DELHI: Security agencies said Pakistan's Lashkar-e-Taiba has been planning a blast near Red Fort and other prominent temples in India. The terrorists are reportedly plotting an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) attacks. Security agencies said the terrorists are planning the attack as revenge for the February 6 suicide attack at a mosque in Islamabad that killed 31 people. The terrorist organization ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack in Pakistan.

The information about the new attack plan comes after 12 people were killed in a car bomb attack at the Red Fort on November 10. The car was driven by Umar Muhammad, a doctor from Al-Fala University in Faridabad. Seven people were arrested in the case. The Delhi court granted NIA 45 days more time to complete their investigation into the case.

Reports had emerged that the group of doctors arrested in the Red Fort blast case had also targeted outlets of a global coffee chain. They had targeted a coffee shop chain owned by a Jewish citizen to bomb it. Reports also revealed that this 'white collar terrorist group' had been active for the last four years. The group also aimed to revive Ansar Ghaswat-ul-Hind, the Indian wing of Al-Qaeda. Investigating officers had revealed that the accused doctors also aimed to establish Islamic rule in the country through this.
