'Operation Trashi-1' in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir; two terrorists killed, AK-47 rifles recovered

SRINAGAR: Security forces killed three terrorists, including a Jaish commander, in an operation in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. Saifullah Baloch, a top commander of the Pakistani terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, was killed. A reward of Rs 5 lakh was announced for his head. Following information about the presence of terrorists, a joint team of the Army, Police and CRPF reached the spot and launched the operation at around 11 am. The operation is codenamed 'Operation Trashi-1'.

The terrorists were hiding in a mud house in a remote hilly area of the Passerkut in the Chatroo belt. When joint parties of the Army, Police, and CRPF approached the location, the militants opened fire, resulting in a heavy gunfight. The Army's White Knight Corps said posted on X that the terror camp was brought under control and two terrorists were killed in a tactical operation. The search operation is ongoing at the site.
