Actor and minister KB Ganesh Kumar said he was ill-treated at the set of Dileep's movie Bandra. The film was released on November 10, 2023. Ganesh Kumar revealed that the director of the film and Dileep treated him badly. In an interview with a news channel, Ganesh Kumar spoke about the incident.

Ganesh Kumar:

“For a long I held a regret of not being part of quality movies. I was not jettisoned into the industry, but it was KJ George, sir, who summoned me to be part of his work. Once I started acting in films, a passion caught me. I wanted to do good roles. Only a few directors like Priyadarshan, Shaji Kailas, Dennis Joseph and Renji Panicker offered me roles I was satisfied with.

However, many worked day and night to cut my chances. I have lost many such roles due to pressure from these people. It still pains me thinking about it. Working in ‘Bandra’ caused me great humiliation and sadness. In my absence, they filmed scenes which I was supposed to act in. I felt that even Dileep mistreated me despite all these years of experience and friendship.

They promised me a good role, but later decided to shoot scenes in my absence. Even Dileep did not care to ask about me during the combination scenes I was supposed to act in. The pain was too much that I even thought about retiring from acting"
