DUBAI: Iran intensified its attack on the Gulf countries as part of retaliation for the assassination of their supreme leader. It was reported that Iranian missile debris fell in the industrial area of Doha, causing a huge fire. The fire was caused after the missile was destroyed midair as part of an air defence system. There are no reports of any loss of life or injury. It is also reported that a hotel building in Bahrain caught fire in the missile attack.

Iran also launched missiles at the Bahraini capital, Manama, but a prompt response from the defence system thwarted the move. People were evacuated from areas around US military bases in the country. This is following warnings of a possible attack. Authorities are telling people to stay at home as much as possible. Schools here have been temporarily closed, and classes have been moved online. However, there are concerns regarding the procedures as board exams are ongoing.

In Dubai, the drone debris injured two people. The debris is believed to be from drones sent by Iran. Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports were also attacked around midnight on Saturday. One person was killed, and several others injured in the attack at Abu Dhabi's Zayed International Airport.

The UAE claims that its air defence system destroyed most of the missiles sent by Iran. The debris from these is causing fires, including in residential areas.
